What is print on demand and why does Blue Water Apparel use it?
Print on demand means your product is made after you place an order, rather than being pre-produced and stored in bulk.
Blue Water Apparel chooses this model because:

  • It reduces overproduction and waste. Items aren’t created unless someone truly wants them, which helps avoid unnecessary inventory ending up unused or discarded.

  • It lowers the need for suppliers to hold massive warehouses of stock. This means fewer materials, less waste, and more efficient resource use.

  • It allows us to offer more designs. Without the limitations of pre-made inventory, we can create a wide variety of retro and vintage-inspired pieces.

  • Each item is made just for you. Your order is fresh, newly printed, and crafted specifically for you.

It’s our way of keeping things sustainable, intentional, and high-quality while giving you the styles you love.

What printing methods do you use?
For our T-Shirts, Hooded Sweatshirts, and all Surf Caps, we use a method called DTF (Direct To Film).  Using this method ensures the colors, especially the neon colors, are bold and vibrant. Each graphic is printed onto a special film and then transferred onto the garment using a heat press. 

For our Coffee Mugs in all collections, we use Sublimation printing. It is a technique that uses high heat and pressure to apply dyes onto the product.

When can I expect to receive my order?
Every item at Blue Water Apparel is made especially for you. Our production partners typically print and prepare your order within 1–5 business days, depending on the product and seasonal demand.
Once your order has been printed, it is shipped out and delivery times will vary based on the carrier. You can track your order at any time on our website using your order number, so you’ll always know exactly where it is on its way to you.

How do I track my order?
After your order is processed, you’ll receive a tracking link by email. You can also enter your order number on our website’s tracking page to see real-time updates.

Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we ship within the United States and Puerto Rico.
However, we do plan to offer international shipping in the future as our brand grows. Stay tuned — we can’t wait to share Blue Water Apparel worldwide!

Can I change or cancel my order after it's placed?
Because each item is printed on demand, the best we can do is check with the supplier to inquire if the order has been processed. If you need assistance, reach out to us as soon as possible at support@bluewaterapparel.store or by Chat on the website.

 Are your designs really exclusive?
Yes!  All artwork is created specifically for Blue Water Apparel.  You won't find our designs anywhere else - every tee, hoodie, coffee mug or accessory is a true original. 

What materials do you use?
We use soft, breathable cotton blends for our tees and hoodies, along with durable materials for our slip-on canvas shoes. Each product page lists the specific fabric details.

Do your colors fade or crack?
Our DTF printing process ensures long-lasting color and crisp detail. How do your t-shirts fit?
Our adult tees use the Bella + Canvas 3001, which has a soft feel and a true-to-size fit for most customers. Kids’ tees are made with Gildan, known for comfort, durability, and reliable sizing.  If you prefer a looser or oversized fit, we recommend sizing up. For a more fitted look, choose your usual size.

How do your hoodies fit?
We use Gildan hoodies, which offer a classic, relaxed fit. They run true to size, but if you love an oversized hoodie, sizing up gives you that cozy, roomy feel.

What is your return policy?
Because all items are printed on demand, we can accept returns or exchanges for:
✔ Damaged or defective products
✔ Incorrect items
✔ Sizing issues for shoes

Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Digital gift cards are available in multiple amounts and delivered instantly by email.

How do I contact customer support?

Why do ship per item and not combine products?
Our shipping is calculated per item. Different products require different types of packaging and handling (for example, apparel vs. fragile drinkware), so each item has its own shipping rate. At checkout, your total simply reflects the combined shipping for each item in your order.
